There are two bedrooms which open onto a sit-out balcony overlooking the garden. One has a king-size four-poster bed, and one is a twin room - both are fitted with luxurious bed-linen, feather pillows, mosquito netting and have air-conditioning. Both bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom with H/C shower.
The ground floor of the house consists of an open-plan kitchen and living room with double doors that open out onto a spacious terrace and petite garden, ideal for entertaining.
The living room is furnished with a comfy sofa and has a library, DVD player and flat screen TV, iPod dock, music system and board games and leads onto the terrace, perfect for indoor/outdoor living.
The garden is shaded with tropical foliage and has a hammock and corner garden seats, great for reading or sunbathing. For the more energetic, there is table football and a swingball set. Free WiFi is accessible throughout.
The terrace has an eight-seater dining table and a barbecue. The spacious kitchen has a bar counter and is equipped with a fridge, cooker, and all the amenities you need to throw a banquet fit for a king.
We have a wonderful housekeeper, Jayanthi, who lives next door. She comes in daily to clean the house and do the laundry. On request she is happy to cook Sri Lankan rice and curry for you and prepare a simple breakfast.
If you wish, we can arrange for our tuk-tuk to take you to the local markets to purchase fresh seafood, fruit and vegetables. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages. If cooking is not your thing, you can have a delivery sent over from the Wijaya Beach Bar, which has a wood-fired pizza oven and pan-global menu.

We are located in Dalawella, just south of the bustling resort of Unawatuna on Sri Lanka’s magnificent Southern coast. Across the road from Villa Spicy is Wijaya Beach, the best swimming beach in the area with its protective reef, delightful beach bar and stunning sunset views.
The UNESCO World Heritage site of Galle Fort with all its shops and restaurants is 15 minutes away and there is a wide choice of surf breaks nearby
Villa Spicy was built in 2010 with love and thought by its owner Kokila Himesh Harindra. He is the founder together with his English wife Henri Tatham, of the well established Kikili Collection. Together they run their colorful B and B (www.kikilihouse.com) and a variety of other villas and businesses. Villa Spicy has been well thought out and all your needs are attended to.
Kokila has a wealth of knowledge of the area as he grew up in Galle and worked at Wijaya Beach (the renowned restaurant and bar opposite Villa Spicy) followed the famous Aman Galla hotel in Galle Fort.
